World number two Rafael Nadal defeated the 14th-seeded Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas to advance to the final at the Australian Open on Thursday.

In the semifinals of men's singles at Melbourne, Spanish Nadal won 6-2, 6-4, 6-0 against Tsitsipas.

Nadal, 32, will face either Serbian Novak Djokovic or French Lucas Pouille in the final.

On Friday, world number one men's tennis player Djokovic will face the 28th-seeded French Pouille in the semifinals.

In the semifinals of women's singles, world number four Japanese Naomi Osaka beat Czech seventh seed Karolina Pliskova to advance to the final at the Australian Open on Thursday.
