China: 4 dead in surveillance marine aircraft crash

A Chinese marine surveillance aircraft has crashed into the mountains of eastern Zhejiang Province, killing all four people on board.

The state-run Global Times reported Wednesday that the civil aviation body of the coastal city of Zhoushan said the aircraft was conducting routine maritime surveillance when it lost contact with the command center Tuesday afternoon.

According to state news agency Xinhua, the wreckage of the helicopter was discovered on Daqingshan Mountain and the victims included two crew and two marine law enforcement officials.
