Sirens, bombardment again crush hopes for peaceful night in Kyiv

On day 3 of Russian attacks air raid sirens wail again in Kyiv

Many people have taken shelter in basements to avoid shelling as the Russian Defense Ministry ordered troops to attack Ukraine in all directions "in response to Kyiv's refusal to negotiate."

The capital is under a curfew, which will now run from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. every day “for more effective defense of the capital and security of its people,” Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, said on Twitter.

He warned that people seen outside during these hours will be considered “members of sabotage and reconnaissance groups.”
